Dear Butterfield Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  This year we will continue our focus on working together as a team to reach our goals.

Butterfield has an enrollment of approximately 290 students in kindergarten through fifth grade.  We offer a variety of programs to help our students achieve their greatest potential including literacy support, fine arts, and physical education.

Butterfield’s vision is to offer a welcoming school bustling with the joy of teaching and learning where all embrace academics and personal success.  Our mission is to provide a challenging and collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to ask questions, solve problems, make thoughtful decisions, and strive to achieve their personal best.  Butterfield School is the place to begin the path to our dreams. 

The staff of Butterfield School work to meet both the academic and social emotional needs of our students.  Students have authentic learning experiences through problem-based learning, differentiated instruction, thematic units, and more.  Students also participate in a Positive Behavior System as well as the social emotional curriculums of Second Step and AIM.

The PTA at Butterfield is growing its number of events and traditions.  Our school year kicks off with a family pool party followed by the Fall Fest in October and the family bowling party in early spring.  All Butterfield families are invited to attend PTA meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm.

The staff and I look forward to spending time with the students and families of Butterfield as we all work together to achieve success.
