Dear Butterfield Families,
Welcome back to the 2020-21 School Year. It is with great pride and excitement that I will have the opportunity to serve the Butterfield Families this school year. Butterfield has an enrollment of approximately 275 students in Kindergarten through Fifth grades. We offer a variety of programs which include Resource, Speech, English Language Learners, Literacy Support, and Differentiation. Our students participate in five sessions of Physical Education, two sessions of General Music, and one session of Fine Arts per week.
Butterfield’s vision is to offer a welcoming school bustling with the joy of teaching and learning where all embrace academics and personal success. Our mission is to provide a challenging, collaborative environment, encourage all to ask questions, solve problems, make thoughtful decisions, and to strive to achieve our personal best. Butterfield School is the place to begin the path to our dreams.
In 2018, Butterfield School was awarded the National Blue Ribbon from the Department of Education. This award recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content. The National Blue Ribbon School flag gracing an entry or flying overhead is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning.
I look forward to working with all of the Butterfield students and their families this year to continue on with the excellence in academics.
